  • 国際交流基金 日本語教育指導者養成プログラム 修士コース 2007年9月- 2008年9月
    The Japan Foundation one-year full scholarship program for MA degree in Japanese language education

    Teachers in Canada were not eligible for this scholarship in the previous years, but they changed the qualification requirements this year. Click here for details.

    Some of the qualification requirements:
    - must be a teacher teaching Japanese at an teaching institution overseas
    - must have two years or more experience teaching Japanese
    - have Japanese proficiency equivalent to the Japanese Proficiency Test Level 1
    - under age 44 (as of April 1, 2007)

    本プログラムは、
    北海道大学を卒業した若い人材(同大学大学院在籍の者あるいは修了者を含む)を日本語教育アシスタントとしてカナダ・アルバータ州内の初等教育機関に配置し、当該校における日本語日本文化教育導入促進に資してもらうおうとするものです。
    The Assistants for Japanese Education Program is seeking to to recruit young recent Hokkaido University graduates (including those who are attending graduate courses or those who completed graduate courses) to work in Alberta schools as language teaching assistants. The role of the Japanese language teaching assistant is to promote Japanese language and culture education and to assist schools in Alberta with the start-up of Japanese language and culture programs.

    Various support for teachers of Japanese in Canada is available from the Japanese Advisor, Shunko Muroya. Shunko is sponsored by the Japan Foundation to provide a wide range of support for the teachers of Japanese in Canada. Teacher support includes:
         - providing information on Japanese language education
         - developing resources
         - providing teacher training
         - consulting
         - help building regional teacher network
